Don’t you just love a long weekend for getting things done? I focused on getting several projects either caught up or completely done and I am happy to say I did all right. This is Halloween Figs, and it now has all its borders and is ready to be sent out for quilting.
I also worked on getting the borders cut out for the second-to-last round of the Coriander Quilts Border of the Month project. Cory is going to get the last round out to us by the 15th I think, and I want to be ready to get that one wrapped up.
The third project was finally getting the 4th at Granny’s off my design wall, which involved sewing all the rows together. I had it half done for months. Now I just need to trim it up and attach the last couple of borders.
I should have titled this post Borders Are Boring, which I admit I have been muttering to myself the past few days.
I will be so glad to get these projects wrapped up, because I have a Christmas UFO I am dying to get up on the design wall and finish up. Can’t wait to show you that.
If you are in the US, I hope you enjoy our last summer hurrah: Labor Day Weekend. We have no plans, except to sew and read and relax!

It looks lovely. I do like nice borders though and the scalloped edge takes it to spectacular. And to be quilted in plenty of time before halloween is a win for sure!
