  1. I like the yellow the best. But I have to say I think I am on a yellow kick. Most of the fabric I have recently purchased has yellow in it or has a yellow background. Perhaps it is because it has been so cold here in Connecticut and we have had snow on the ground since the beginning of January and I want spring. This is the first year since 2019 we have not gone to St Thomas for a week in February.

    1. Oh, sorry you are missing your holiday this February! I am so anxious for spring to get here too. My daffodils had just started to bloom and then we get a dusting of snow!

  2. I think it’s worth picking both blocks apart, using the red center from the yellow block with the aqua pinwheels. My opinion – that combination is more in keeping with your other blocks.

    1. I am very partial to aqua, but so far I think the yellow fits in better. Early days, hang on to them both!. Those stripy green ½ square triangles would have sent me over the edge placement wise.

  3. I think the aqua shows up more, but as Vickie says swap over the centres would be a good option. The design wall is filling up nicely!

    1. I am going to have to pick a project and let it have the entire wall, lol. I think it is going to be Bliss. I am loving how that is coming together.

  4. I’m on Team Yellow for the pinwheels…no offense aqua! 💛 The red flowers in the yellow tie it to the center, in my opinion. And, I seem to be noticing a lot of yellow being used everywhere recently! We’re still wallowing in warm weather & almost no snow here in NW Wyoming!

  5. Both are very nice blocks but I think the aqua block appears washed out with all the other blocks you have made. For me, using the aqua one would depend on a balance with your remaining blocks.
Very nice piecing – as usual from you!
I also appreciate the info on the rulers in your previous post. I need to go digging through my collection of rulers and see if I have either one of them.

  6. Both pinwheels have their good qualities, but I must say that Vickie’s idea of swapping in the red center really would look terrific. That is a cute little tape measure!

  7. I’m team aqua. Have you been watching any of the olympics? I am team U.S.A. all the way.

Stay warm! I’m off to read the posts I missed this week…..

  8. I like the yellow block although aqua in the center would be better. There’s tiny bits of aqua in the yellow fabric so the aqua center would be prettier. The green just doesn’t work as well. Before taking any block apart I would test whatever fabric you are thinking of changing it with just laying a scrap of the new fabric on top of it. This is going to be a pretty quilt. It’s fun watching your progress.
