I am home from the most fun ladies’ weekend ever. That photo is my sisters and me just before we had the best lunch at a place called Anthony’s in Gig Harbor. My sisters, nieces, and cousins met up at my niece Lizz’s home in Gig Harbor, WA. She is a single mom with two growing boys who bought her own fixer-upper house and transformed it into the most comfortable, homey, well-decorated home you’ve ever seen. She did just about everything herself, with help from her dad and a few other handy friends. She is just the cleverest, most confident person you will ever meet.

Can’t you just tell how pizazzy and amazing she is? No surprise, she was an incredible hostess and made us old aunties feel like we were the most important people on earth. She planned a number of fun activities for us, but we spent most of our time chit-chatting outside in her beautiful backyard.

One evening my sister Andrea and I had red light treatments and facial masks. Our skin looked fabulous the next day!
No rest for the wicked; today I head to the Bay Area for my eye injections, but will be back on schedule Wednesday!

Looks like a great time was had by all! Nice to get away and meet up with family. What a clever girl you niece is – and a very pretty lady too.
Little get aways always perk you up when you can. Looks like you had a great time with family.
I am heading down the road for a three day sewing retreat tomorrow. Luckily, it’s not far so I come home each night so I don’t have to add arrangements for animal care while I’m gone.
It is so nice to get together with other sewers and just enjoy each other’s company besides some sewing!
