  1. Looks like a great time was had by all! Nice to get away and meet up with family. What a clever girl you niece is – and a very pretty lady too.

  2. Little get aways always perk you up when you can. Looks like you had a great time with family.
I am heading down the road for a three day sewing retreat tomorrow. Luckily, it’s not far so I come home each night so I don’t have to add arrangements for animal care while I’m gone.
It is so nice to get together with other sewers and just enjoy each other’s company besides some sewing!

    1. Have fun on your quilting retreat! I miss doing that with friends. Back in the day, we had some pretty fabulous getaways. It was fun to sew, but also to have a chance to support one another with whatever was going on in our lives.

  3. What a wonderful vacation you had! Girls weekends & get-togethers are so much fun, especially when they include sisters & loved ones! Our nephew was married on an Alaskan cruise this summer. My sister & I hosted a girls’ night with friends & family who all wore super cute matching pjs. The bride isn’t a shower-type gal, so it was a celebration disguised as a pj party! There were no gifts or games, but we ate & sipped wine & got to make memories in such a fun way!

  4. We are just finishing a nice week spending time with our daughter and her wife in Washington state. They work odd shifts so we saw them mostly just in the afternoons and for dinner. But those hours with them were great. We hadn’t seen them for 2 years- we live in Michigan. I’m glad you had such a good time!

    1. Washington State is quite beautiful.. I wasn’t quite expecting how forested it is. Everyones’ house seems to be tucked away in the woods.
Where in Michigan do you live Sue? I was born in Ann Arbor and lived in Belleville until I was 12 and we moved to California.

      1. I live in Ann Arbor! I came here for school at UofM , met my hubby here, and we have raised 2 children and are now living here in retirement.
I agree with you about the forests and huge trees. Just beautiful!

  5. Oh, that looks like you had so much fun! I’m so glad you had a good weekend of re-connecting with family. Nothing better in the world!

    1. She is just gorgeous. Her hair is amazing. She was a real redhead as a child, now it’s more blond. Her boys father is a red head also so both the boys were destined to be gingers.

  6. I’ve never heard of that facial treatment but it’s interesting. Am so glad you, your sisters, and much of your family could get together for good food and fun!

    Hugs!

    1. It was a blast. You live in a beautiful state. I wasn’t prepared for how forested it is! Everyone’s house seems tucked away in the woods.
