Isn’t it nice when things operate as expected? My quilter in Utah mailed a couple of quilts back to me, and they were actually delivered right to my door. After the recent massive fail on the part of USPS, it was a relief to receive this package as expected. Although it was delivered by UPS rather than USPS, so there you are.
Archie seems to approve, although I think he was hoping I would lay it on the floor so he could grovel on it. The quilt was started back in 2012 with a mountain of French General scraps. It took me a few years to finish it, and a few more to send it out for quilting. I am happy to have this Red Pineapple quilt back at last and will enjoy it on my bed, especially during the holidays. It is massive!

I also had this table runner quilted. It is stars and trees with a checkerboard background. It is a Carried Away pattern called Buffalo Check Christmas Runner. I altered the pattern and made it a bit smaller.
Eva and I spent the afternoon together and made turkey sandwiches on Hawaiian rolls: her new favorite lunch. They were delicious along with some fresh pineapple! Hope your first day of June was as lovely as mine.

Good morning, your quilt is gorgeous! I noticed Archie looking cute also!!
I am so happy that they travelled with no mishap. They are beautiful as is all your work. The issue with the other quilt and runners is terrible all that work and love you put in everything you do.
I love the unique background on the runner. I have never thought of doing that but it’s eye candy.
Receiving those quilts and an afternoon with your granddaughter must have been a huge morale booster! The pineapple quilt is gorgeous. I made the Christmas table runner last year and I also altered the pattern.
Looks like June is gonna be a great month!
I’m sure you were relieved with that delivery! I misaddressed the box I sent for the Humble Quilts swap. (It was a legit address but not the intended recipient’s town.) I made a new swap quilt and sent it to my swap partner. She received it. I’d given up on the errant box, but there it was on my doorstep this weekend. I figure I’m all set for the 2027 swap.
Beautiful Pineapple Quilt and lovely runner. I’m sure it was a great relief to receive them in a timely manner. So sad about your lost projects. 😔
I love, love, LOVE that red pineapple quilt!!!!!! Thelma made one years back and I loved it too. Yours is gorgeous! I know you are happy to have it safely at home where it belongs!
Love your pineapple quilt!!! ❤️
Which pattern did you use? And what size are the blocks? It is a beauty! Your summer plans with Eva sound delightful. I can’t believe she’s going into grade 10!!! I remember the pictures of her as a little sprout! Have a great week!
Your pineapple quilt looks wonderful along with your ‘Price Is Right model’ showing it off! Cute Archie! The runner’s background takes a lot of focus to get that buffalo check pattern to come out right…or, maybe it was just me. Top off your day with an afternoon spent with Eva & it sounds pretty nice to me!
French General is one of my favorites. Your quilt is really beautiful.
Wow, your pineapple quilt is wonderful!! All that gorgeous RED! I wonder why we allow some quilt tops to languish in the closet for so many years?? I finally finished the borders on a Lone Star, after 20+ years.
Enjoy Eva this summer!
All that beautiful, luscious French General red! It is stunning!
