4th of July Quilts

Archie loves his porch time, especially if we are all out there together. He isn't that impressed with my 4th of July decorations, but I have had fun putting things out for us to enjoy this year.

That flag quilt on the rocker is a Minick and Simpson pattern I made called Liberty Road. I can't find the pattern anywhere, so it may be out of print. The fabrics are all Minick and Simpson as well. The stars are  machine appliqued on.

There is another flag quilt that is quite popular this year that I think I may make as well. It is All American by It's So Emma. I like this pattern because it has the flag feeling, but is quite different from the one on my rocking chair in the photo above.

The other flag quilt sew along that is going on right now is the Stars and Stripes one by Thimble Blossoms.

Are you making either of these quilts? Camille Roskelley has an Instagram page where she is showing her blocks, and they are so beautiful. Click on the link and go look:  you will be so inspired!

  1. I have the original ‘All American” kit from the Liberty Box a couple of years ago. Bought the fabric to finish it— just can’t seem to find the time! I’ll vicariously enjoy you making yours. Xxo

  2. Love the Red, White and Blue! I’ve made two of Thimbleblossoms Stars & Stripes quilts. They go together so quickly. All American I have cut out and ready to sew. I’ve collected a few other patriotic patterns that I want to make as well. Your porch looks so inviting! 🇺🇸

  3. Red, White and Blue quilts are a favorite and after reading your blog today, I ordered the All American…as if I need another pattern!! Love it! I have a tub full of RWB fabrics so should be able to use my stash. I am trying to reorganize my sewing room and use what I have but what’s another pattern!!

  4. Your quilt & USA decoration are so festive on the porch! Archie just adds to the All American look! 🇺🇸

  5. I have always wanted a RWB quilt of my own. I did start the blocks from Summer in the Country using a light gray for the background. I should probably finish that one but love the All-American pattern. Love your flag quilt!
