  1. Wow – this is a beautiful collection, especially that main floral fabric. I look forward to seeing you work on these two projects! Currently, I am finishing up a Trip around the World in autumnal scraps. It’s still hot as blazes here in Florida, but I am SO ready for Fall!

    1. I love that big brown floral too! Things are cooling off here in my area of California–mid to high 70s which I think is just about perfect. No humidity here either.

  2. Oohhhh this collection is gorgeous 😍 and I live those oak leaves and acorns! Can’t wait to see your progress!

    1. And the touch of the chocolate and cream nine patches is so sweet. The oak leaves look kind of fussy to piece, but I think I can manage three of them.

  3. Oh I like those colors! Got a lot cooler here overnight. Might be able to sew binding on a quilt that has been waiting all summer.
    Happy fall y’all !

  4. I’m not surprised you bought this collection, so did I! I love the Plough and Harvest quilt and plan to make that too. 😄

      1. I’m offended by this comment! your shelves are not a disgrace. they are an inspiration. we all need more time to sew…..

  5. Nicole, this is my favorite season and colors too. It was a toss up for me between the fig tree bundle and Wellspring by Fancy That. I went with the latter but haven’t chosen a pattern yet.

    1. I have such a big Fig Tree stash that I am pretty sure I can pull some darker browns out of it and use them in the runner pattern. I held off buying the brown prints for that reason. I can always order online if I don’t have the right thing!

  6. You are so right, sometimes a quilter can’t resist! I love that collection and especially the Plough and Harvest pattern.

    1. It looks fairly easy and I love how the focus will be on those big colorful squares from the layer cake. It will be nice to have blocks that show off all those pretty prints.

  7. This is my favorite season too. Your beautiful fabrics remind me I have to dig out a fall topper I started last year. One of Pat Sloan’s samplers. I’ll dig it out today so I can finish it. I do enjoy Joanna’s fabrics; they are so soft and pretty.

      1. BRING OUT THE CROWS! I love those crows up on your mantel….seriously, if I had the proper place for them I would be hunting the internet to purchase for myself.

  8. Yes, this is a beautiful collection and the colors are perfect companions to your other beautiful quilts. That large brown floral pattern would look good in so many projects! I’m drawn to those tiny polka dot fabrics that would make perfect blenders on almost anything.

  9. Oh, what delicious fabrics in those two collections, but I have a large, deep drawer of autumn fabrics plus lots of scraps of autumn from previous projects. At 75, methinks I need nothing but the occasional yardage for borders or background to finish something. Please give those new fabrics an extra petting from me!
It’s a lovely sunny day here with the high 81*F and the low tonight 57*F. Wish it would stay this way!

    Hugs!

  10. oh.my.gawd. I NEED some of that acorn fabric! so.darn.cute. The 1st pattern looks easy? Let me know once you start sewing because I am skeptical. Her fabrics are gorgeous. Her pattern directions? yuck.

    1. No, seriously, those blocks are just a big square of pretty fabric cut from the layer cake, surrounded by eight hsts and some solid squares. Easy peasy.

    2. Good to know I’m not the only one with issues with her directions. Her patterns are pretty, but I’m reluctant to purchase them.

  11. I like that those patterns offer lots of options. And the color palette is beautiful! It’s beginning to feel like Fall here! 🍂🍁 Happy sewing!
