I haven’t done one of these Favorites posts in a while, so I thought I would share a few things that I am really loving right now. Click on the product name in bold and you will go to the link for price info. Mostly clothes and makeup here, but fall is a good time to add a couple of new things into the mix, right? IT Cosmetics Do It All Sheer Tint Face Balm.
I am absolutely obsessed with this face makeup. They call it a skin tint/face balm, which means that it is very light. If you like a heavy foundation, this isn’t for you. As I have gotten older, heavy makeup settles into lines and looks weird on dry patches, so I’d almost given up on foundation until this product came along. It goes on very cool to the touch, and feels more like skincare than makeup. In fact, they say it is 92% a skincare serum. I love it and feel great wearing it. My face but better. lol I am on my second pot of it, and wear the color 210N

It Cosmetics Luxe Face Brush
This brush is what you need for a perfect application of the It Cosmetics Face Balm foundation that I mentioned above. It has dual ends, so you can apply the foundation on your face with the larger end, and do touch-ups or add concealer with the smaller end. This is a great brush, and you will have it forever.

Clarins Total Eye Smooth
This eye cream is so lovely. It tackles all the biggies: dark circles, puffiness, and aging. My eyes tend to be a bit puffy underneath, especially in the mornings, and this soothing cream sorts me right out. It has a pump dispenser that releases exactly the right amount that you need. This product is a wee bit pricey, but it lasts me at least six months. I like it so much I have purchased it three times.

Merit Great Skin Serum and Moisturizer
I have a whole different skincare routine that I do at night, but this isn’t it. I use these two Merit Great Skin products in the morning before I put on my makeup. I first use the Clarins eye cream I mentioned above, then apply the Merit Great Skin serum. One pump is all you need, and it gives your skin a lovely glow. Next, I use the Great Skin moisturizer, which does what you expect from a moisturizer, but much more. It primes your skin for the flawless application of whatever foundation makeup you wear. I have purchased both of these products multiple times and hope they are never discontinued. My makeup has never looked better. You can buy mini sizes to try out before you commit to the full size.

Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow Stick in Smokey Topaz
I have loved cream eyeshadow sticks for years. You just swipe it on and you are done. No fooling around with three colors of powdered shadow that makes your eyes water for the next hour. These sticks glide on and do not pull and tug at your fragile eyelids at all. They come in 28 colors, so there is something for everyone. My favorite shades are Smokey Topaz, Golden Brown, and Midnight Olive (which is really a very light sage).

Tatcha The Kissu Lip Mask
This is the best lip balm I have ever used in my life. My sister Andrea gave me one for Christmas years ago and I must have repurchased this product 10 times. I don’t know why they call it a mask: maybe because if you apply it before bed, you wake up with moist, unchapped lips. I use it all day long and have never found anything better for dry chapped lips. There is no taste to it and it isn’t sticky at all. It goes on kind of like Aquafor in texture, but is absorbed quickly. The little pot lasts forever, and they give you a little spoon to stir the remnants off the bottom so you don’t waste a smidgen of it. I love this stuff.

JJill Cotton/Cashmere Polo
This little polo was a fantastic find. It is made from cotton for the most part, with a bit of cashmere added in. It comes in three colors, including the best shade of red ever. The red one is on sale right now for $69, with an additional 30% off added to that,so don’t wait on it. It would be perfect during the holidays under a blazer or other jacket. I liked it so much I got the red, the blue, and the brown.

Talbots Full Zip Cardigan in Port Wine
I am a red girlie through and through. It is my favorite color to wear. When I saw this sweater on sale, I knew I had to have it. It comes in around 10 colors, so if red isn’t for you, there are lots of other options. Talbots is having a sale now where your first item is 40% off and any other items are 30% off, so now is the time to buy. Talbots runs periodic sales all the time. This sweater runs a bit large and long, so I sized down to a Med Petite and it is just right on my 5″4′ frame.

Madewell Longline Straight Jean
This is a higher-end jean, but it is on sale right now for 25% off. I live in denim, 7 days a week, so I like to have at least one pair that is dark-washed, heavier denim of a really good quality. I prefer a straight leg, but not too skinny, and a normal (not low) rise. I find that style very all-purpose and looks terrific with sweaters or T-shirts. This one is super flattering on.

Talbots Knit Denim Boot Cut Jean
This is the jean you will reach for day after day. The description says it is a knit denim, but it looks and feels just like regular denim to me. Except that they seem to mold to your body perfectly, and you never want to take them off. It also comes in a dark wash, which I also got. It is 30% off at Talbots right now, which makes it very reasonable in price. The fit is straight through the thighs, with just the slightest flare at the bottom. They are full length, not cropped at all, and make your legs look a mile long.

Honeylove Crossover Bra
I found a new bra that I just love. Honeylove is a company that makes a very good product. They are sold at Nordstrom, but it isn’t always easy to find your size in stock, so I order directly from the company. They sometimes offer a price deal if you purchase more than one. Each bra comes with its own little wash bag, which is such a nice touch. I launder mine on delicate in the bag, and air dry it. The fit on this style is great. It is wireless, and doesn’t gape in the cups at all. Every bra also comes with an extender thing so if your size changes a bit there is room to expand it. This bra is so comfortable I forget I have it on!
