I have been so organized the past couple of days. I think my lackadaisical summer schedule is done for. Do you remember back in January of 2024 I posted on the Pomordoro technique? Go back and take a look at that post where I explain how it works. It is a time management method where you set a timer during which you work on your tasks. I swear it really works. I think on both Monday and Tuesday I sewed for a total of about 90 minutes each day and you would not believe how much I got done. This post is all about what all I managed to do just yesterday!
The photo above is my Border of the Month quilt with the fourth border all sewn on. Now I am caught up and ready for whatever Corey Yoder lays on us next for this project. In spite of the extra fussiness I caused myself by going with a specific color placement, I am super happy with this cheerful little top.

Next, I pieced a backing for this little bow Christmas quilt that was mostly a Sew With Me 2025 Erica Arndt project hosted on her YouTube channel. I had some blocks from a Fat Quarter Shop Designer Mystery sew-along that I had abandoned, and planned my quilt around those. This will be the second quilt I am sending off to my Florida quilter after the USPS debacle.

I also got the border for my Hey Boo Halloween quilt sorted out and ready to send out to my other quilter in Utah.

This fabric collection is so darn cute. It is Poinsettia and Pear by Sherri and Cheli. The quilt pattern is called Christmas Stars and uses the collection. These are the first two blocks, which I love. The one I made yesterday is the simpler one on the left. Sherri talks all about it on her YouTube channel. Of course you could use any Christmas-themed fabric, but I am loving this one.
So, to sum up, in one 90-minute block of time, I got the last border on a quilt, sorted out two quilts to mail off for quilting, and got my second block done in the Christmas Stars sew-along. I am pretty happy with that. The other project I am determined to get finished and off the design wall is the 4th of July at Granny’s. I plan to tackle that again today along with the final borders for Bliss. Remember Bliss?

This got folded up and put away without its borders. It has one border of flying geese, which are all made, and a final border of a tone-on-tone red fabric.

Just watch me; I will get this one done too! And with any luck, finish sewing together the 4th at Granny’s top.

The Pomodoro technique is certainly working for you! Wonderful progress you’ve made. I’m going to have to give it a try. I have several projects in the almost finished category, maybe the Pomodoro technique would give me the push I need. Thanks for sharing your progress!
Very nice group of quilts. Good for you! With me recovering from a broken arm I have finally rehabbed enough that I can sew some. So, I have been setting a timer for 30 minutes. Not long, and it sure goes by fast! But at least I’m playing with fabric again.
