  1. What cute 3″ blocks you’ve made!! I look forward to seeing where they fit in the quilt layout.
How sweet is the photo of sleepy Eva with Archie making the most of a snuggle opportunity?! When did she get so wonderfully tall (I ask from my 5’1″)?
Your energy and all you accomplish continue to amaze me!

    Hugs!

  2. Very interesting to find out that having corned beef for a meal on St. Patrick’s Day is a myth. I wonder where that came from? 🤔 The blocks for your sew a long are very cute, I think I would be sewing ahead of schedule. I’m sure you enjoyed having Eva spend the night. Archie looks happy.

    1. It’s an American Irish tradition. When the Irish came here after the potato famine, beef was less expensive than their tradition pork, especially corned beef from Jewish butchers in New York. Cabbage was a cheap vegetable. So now we have corned beef and cabbage as an Irish meal.

  3. I wonder at celebrating America with a year long quilt doesn’t give you something to use this July. I looked at this one but reminded myself that I have at least 2 RWB quilt tops that need finishing. I will get one of them ready in time for the 4th!
Never was a fan of corned beef and cabbage so it’s no loss for me!

  4. I was traveling Monday & yesterday (30 hours in airports between lightning storms & Spring Break crowds) so I didn’t have a chance to comment. I’m happy to hear that Carrie Nelson is doing better. I miss her writing & sense of humor. And her quilting talent is something we all learned so much from watching! I was all-in on the monthly Schnibbles parades that year & enjoyed seeing the different ‘looks’ depending on the sewist’s fabric choices. Eva & Archie are quite a sweet looking pair, for certain!

  5. Thanks for the myth buster! I love salmon but that would just ruin my regular corned beef and cabbage St Patrick’s day dinner! Can’t believe how Eva is so grown up! Such a cutie and Archie knows who gives the good snuggles!
