Are you doing the Cali & Co sew-along? Corey Yoder from Coriander Quilts is hosting it. She's got a monthly blog post and YouTube instructions on each of the free blocks she puts out.
Corey is making blocks from two different fabric collections: her own Cali & Co, and various "Tilda" fabrics. I had a fat eighth bundle of Cali & Co plus some scraps from a couple of other Coriander Quilts collections, so I am achieving a really nice scrappy effect.
Each of the blocks features half-square triangles arranged in different ways. Plus, the blocks are framed with scrappy strips, which add to the creativity of the design.
Take note of the large corner squares on the outside of the block. The underside of each corner is cut off leaving this remaining piece:

When pressed open, it is around 3 inches square. I wonder what Corey will have us do with them?

I'm intrigued!
Block 4 for April has been released and I hope to get that made this week.

My sewing room has never been so colorful.
Hope your week is going well!

I am following along on the Cali & Co., but have not begun mine yet. Too many projects at the moment! Are you using the same background fabric for all of the blocks or are you going scrappy on that as well? Love all the bright colors of all of your projects – thanks so much for sharing your progress!
So many beautiful blocks on your design walls! How delightful, it’s certainly incentive to keep sewing!
What pattern are you using for the other 2 quilts on your wall?
Love the Cali quilt along.
I LOVE color and lots of it. The wall looks great!! Especially the Cali and Co.
I’d sure save those cutoffs for for something! These blocks are really looking pretty. I’m watching this one from the sidelines.
I love all of those bright colors combined to make your blocks! At the very least you can use those cut-off squares on your quilt back. Happy sewing!
