Quilts Back From the Quilter

I'm not home this week, as I am still at my husband's side at the hospital. When I was home Saturday, I sat at my computer for a few minutes and prepared a few posts to automatically post this week.

When I arrived home Friday afternoon, my front porch was loaded with packages that had been delivered, including FOUR quilts back from two of the quilters I use. Two large ones and two table toppers.

The quilt above is the Fatquarter Shop Designer Mystery quilt for 2022. The fabrics are by Camille Roskelley. This is one of the best Designer Mystery quilts ever, I think. I love this one.

It finishes at 80.5 x 80.5. The pattern is available on FQS. Camille has several blue collections that you can find, so you could replicate this quilt pretty easily.

Hope your week is off to a good start.

  1. Beautiful work, a blue and white quilt is so calming. I’m sure seeing your quilts beautifully done was a little bit of cheer in this stressful time. Continuing healing prayers for your husband’s complete recovery.

  2. How lovely! I made that one too, and I agree with you completely – it their best Designer Mystery quilt to date. Keeping you and your husband in my thoughts and prayers.

  3. This is beyond kind of you to keep up our Sister’s Choice quilt-y addiction and that quilt is gorgeous! So I can’t wait to see the others, but believe me, our hearts are just with you and you dear husband this week– to get this situation turned around. xox

  4. That quilt is so pretty! It was a nice surprise to see your post this morning! I’m hopeful that this week will bring improvement for your husband. Take care of yourself. 😘

  5. My first reaction to this quilt was ‘WOW!’
    Excellent design and execution 🙂
Hoping for healing and steady improvement for your husband and smoother days ahead for you both.

  6. That quilt is spectacular Nicole! I hope your husband is doing well and you are surviving. I pray for a swift and uneventful recovery!! You will probably have more work ahead of you when you get home. I suspect a quieter Halloween this year… and I remembering some big family bashes in years past?! At least your fabulous decor is bringing back memories. Thinking of you both!!

  7. The log cabin effect, to form the star, is very clever. You did a good job balancing the shading/colors so it is very uniform. Hope things continue to improve.

  8. The quilt is gorgeous. If you find time to get the binding sewn on it would be a good hand stitching project while sitting in the hospital. I have unfortunately had to be with my husband a couple times in the past couple of years and found it nice to have something do besides just sitting. It also kept me warm as I found hospital rooms to be chilly. Hopefully he will get to rehab soon and on the way to a speedy recovery. Take care of yourself too and bring the caregiver can be very stressful.

  9. I was so sad when I waited on signing up for this and it was full. I really think that line compliments the pattern so well, may have to stalk eBay to see if I can find one llol! Hope the hubs continues to improve

  10. Absolutely gorgeous 😍 praying for you as you care for your husband at this difficult time! For strength and stamina for you, for his healing and therapy.

  11. I am so sorry your husband is experiencing all these health problems. I know it is an emotional roller coaster for both of you. I will certainly add you both to my prayer list.
I have come to detest the term “as you age” as my husband and I have recently had some health problem! I hope you aren’t hearing this term!
