Log Cabin Layout #6

Here is Log Cabin Layout #6.  I think it is pretty cool.  But then, I tend to like any layout where I don't have a block turned the wrong way.  And I swear I cannot tell by just looking at the blocks.  I have to take a photo and study that to find the wrong way blocks.  My husband says he likes this layout # 6 the best so far.

I won't be able to post tomorrow, but on Monday I will show my last two layouts and hopefully get a final vote on what everyone likes.  So far, Sara seems drawn to the Layout #2 and to the Chevron one, Layout #3.  She was really on the fence though, and said it was going to be really hard to choose.

The last two layouts are really nice–a star and a kind of snails trail design.  Check in Monday and we will have the final two choices and then on Tuesday a parade of all the layouts and a vote.

  1. Layout #6 is nice, too. So many choices and none of them “wrong”!
What are you sewing while mulling over the layout possibilities for the Log Cabin quilt?
    Have a lovely weekend!
    Hugs!

  2. They are all beautiful, Nicole, but #6 is my favourite of them all. Its gonna be gorgeous any way you put it together!

  3. No matter which layout you end up with the quilt will be stunning! So many choices! Do I spy a red pineapple quilt sneaking into the picture? hmmmm?

  4. Another beautiful layout! it’s getting harder and harder to pick a favorite and I’m looking forward to monday and tuesday:-) Have a great weekend!

  5. The different settings are one of the reasons why a log cabin quilt is one of my favorites. I can’t wait to see the next two settings (both are on my to-do list).

  6. Thank you for all the bending and stretching that it takes to show all your pretty setting choices. I love the Barnraising and the #6 one, too! My mind likes the completeness of circular arrangements.

  7. I’m glad you showed it in different layouts. Very interesting, and I would have a hard time choosing. I am drawn to the more unusual settings just because they are different from traditional. I will look forward to seeing the winning layout.

  8. You have the perfect # of blocks for this setting, can’t wait to see what she chooses, you won’t go wrong, it’s a log cabin. Have you seen Luke Haynes 50 log cabins. So many ways to rock this block

  9. Hi, Nicole – all your versions are great. Have you seen the Star Bright quilt in the Moda Bake shop? It’s a log cabin layout with a star in the center.

  10. Hummmm, thought I liked #2 but I now am drawn to #6. We need to see them all together. And even then will probably not be able to pick a winner! They are all great!
