The Garden

One of my favorite things is to take my beverage of choice and wander out into the back yard and check out the garden.  This is one of the planter beds, and my word, things have really taken off since I last posted on it.

The veggies are exciting, but I do love my flowers.

Mostly herbs, but some peppers too.  Something happened to my oregano, not sure what.  I may have to replace it.

This is definitely my favorite time of year.  Not too hot yet, lovely weather and the garden is so beautiful.

  1. Your garden IS beautiful. I love seeing those first little bitty tomatoes. None here yet … I may have squealed a little when I saw our tomato blossoms, though. 😉

  2. Lovely! I love watching the new plants unfurl and the wee tomatoes grow large. Did you plant any grape tomatoes? They’re a delicious delight and grow just as easily as big tomatoes.
Isn’t it fun to grow spices and food, too? A couple of years ago we tried Butter and Romaine lettuce and other than protecting that bed from rabbits, it was simple. Word to the wise, plant two seeds of each type of lettuce each week. If you plant more, you’ll have lettuce coming out of your ears. Really.
What does Miss E think of these colorful flowers, spices, and veggies?
    Hugs!

  3. The garden looks great. we have been eating fresh lettuce, chard, kale and spinach a lot. We have a couple very small zucchini and cucumbers and the beans are starting. I love it too! Your flowers are so pretty!

  4. You have a beautiful garden! Love it when everything is green and colorful and the weather is good. My favorite plants in my garden are the raspberries I love the fruits!

  5. I want my son to build me raised beds this year for my veggies and flowers. If you plant them directly on the ground the wild bunnies think it’s Home Town Buffet!!

  6. Your gardens look wonderful! We’re waiting for the weather to warm up so we can plant ours’! The pomegranate blossom is spectacular!

  7. Lovely garden! I was just thinking about buying some lavender to plant in my pots. Herbs would be great to have also! Just go outside and pick!
