This is my Sampler Block #1 prepared as part of the Sampler Challenge between my friend Lisa and I. You can see the pattern and fabric collection I am using here. I am delighted with my first block and can’t wait to get going on Block #2. The best part of the process is in selecting the combinations of fabrics to be used in each block. Too many great choices! Twelve blocks may not be enough.

Oh wow – beautiful block, Nicole!!! Love it! Well, you could always do the layout that I’m using – there are 16 blocks in mine! 😉
Lovely block, Nicole. Someday when you have time (huh), could you write a little something about how you get so much quilting done–even with a job and family and blog and everything? Some of us could use it.
Absolutly lovely! I do love that fabric. You have such great taste! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful! And, of course, there’s also the fun in figuring out color placement for each block; sometimes it’s fun to make several of the same block and change the light and dark placement and see how different a block will look. Playing with fabric–I can’t think of much that’s more fun than that! LOL!
Very pretty block. I just love that line of fabric. I have a fair amount of it stacked in my cupboard – LOL
Ooooo – wonderful block. I love the green fabric you used in it!!!!
this looks exactly like my BOM for month two! Funny, huh. I’m doing the Stars Around the Garden by Bits n Pieces BOM. You can see my version on my blog.
Love the line of fabric you picked!
