This kitty is the second block in Fat Quarter Shops' Haunted Halloween sew-along. That tail is just not working for me. Watch for my next post, I will re-do it so it looks like it is curving instead of being broken off in two places. I think a couple of well-placed half square triangles will do the trick. Don't you agree? I think it looks weird.
It's going to be a cute table topper when it's done, but that tail just isn't working for me.
Yesterday was my birthday and look at this gorgeous arrangement my husband gave me! I wish you could smell those roses and lilies.

Happy Birthday! What a lovely time of year to celebrate it! If you join the Facebook group Kimberley’s Stitch Squad, you can see others didn’t like the tail and their solutions. Most simply added a couple of flipped corners. Some added collars. That is what I will do when I finally get to mine! Heehee. One good reason to wait is that everyone else smooths the bumps!

My birthday was also yesterday.i got flowers and met with my daughters for lunch. So lucky. I’m 88.
Agree about the cat’s tail. Last year’s Halloween also had an unusual style for the cat’s tail, but not as awkward as this one. I’m one who waits until the quilt is revealed before devoting time to a project that might not turn out to my liking, whether it be design or fabric choices.
