I am so glad to have these 4 1/2" basket blocks behind me. Yes, they are cute, but it was kind of boring to make 24 of them. Next up are 14 X blocks, which involve partial square in a square units, which I also dread making. I'll get through it. I am determined to finish this quilt and something else on the design wall!
There are a ton more steps to the setting, however, including a number of checkerboard borders that will surround some of the larger blocks. It will be a beautiful quilt, but my goodness, it is a lot of work!

Making these 28 pumpkin blocks was a bit more fun. They went together fast and easy. The next task will be to make a slew of churn dash blocks. That ought to go all right as well.
I have a fairly quiet weekend coming up and will hit the sewing room early. I have my work cut out for me. Only not literally. I still have to do all the cutting. lol
Stay cool, everyone.

How beautiful! I understand how tedious it can be to make the same block over and over. But your work is paying off!
Are these pumpkins for the Primitive Gatherings quilt? All the blocks you’ve shown are really cute.
The blocks look beautiful and I really like the pumpkin colors! I’ve got a long term medallion project going that has 36-40 repeats of many blocks. I’m using it as an L/E, but it sure does get boring!
I’ll be checking in on Monday to see your churn dash progress! Those are my favorite blocks & a good chance to incorporate lots of color combinations. Have a great weekend!
How adorable! I have three pumpkin quilts already, so I had to pass this one by, unfortunately. Autumn is my favorite season. Can’t wait to see this one completed!
Wow, fast progress! It is definitely “looking good”!
The basket blocks are adorable! This fabric line is beautiful and the quilt is going to be gorgeous. I look forward to seeing your little churn dash blocks!
