Look What Mary Did!

marys_quilt.jpg

This happy lady pictured above is Mary Wood from Australia.  Some of you may remember that she won my leftover blocks from the Return to Sender quilt I made awhile ago.  A few people have emailed me to ask what Mary ever did with those blocks, and I am happy to share the finished project with you.  It seems that Mary put them blocks together with a simple solid lattice and has created a nice lap quilt.

Well done Mary!  It is so great to see your work and what you did with those orphan blocks!  Not orphans any longer, but a real quilt that will be enjoyed for a long time.

Something else interesting about Mary:  she has over 30 grandchildren and got married to a lovely man named Peter in December.  So you might ask yourself, how does she have any time for quilting????
