If you didn't buy any of this fabric collection when it was readily available, I am truly sorry for you.  Truly.  I am deeply sorry that I didn't urge you more strongly to buy it when you could get your hands on some.  So sorry.  I will endeavor to be more on top of things in the future.

Neptune by Tula Pink for Moda.  Unbearably adorable.  The colors are aqua, navy, coral and acid green.  Each print in the collection has some sort of a nautical theme, but it is so subtle, you have to really search for it.  See the submarine, coral and fishies in the green print in the photo above?

Can you see the sea turtle in this print above?  You have to look for it!

This circle design is really little life preservers.  Cute much?

Here are a couple more prints from the collection-

Well.  I started a quilt out of this fabric quite some time ago, and recently brought it back out for a finish.  My pattern is Sweet Escape by Miss Rosie's Quilt Company.

I was all gung ho to get this quilt top finished, and then, once a dozen or so blocks were completed, I came to a disenchanted halt.  Why?  Because I didn't have enough contrast in some of my blocks.  I complained to the right people however, and a very clever designer friend, suggested that I needed some light background polka dots in the mix.  And she sent me some.  From her stash.

And it made all the difference.  Hello baby.

  1. When you put the fabrics in a quilt, they become irresistible! The first association I had when I saw the pattern was razor blades and title made my twisted mind think death by razor blades. I love all of Carrie’s patterns except this one.
