We had a family milestone last weekend. While I was away at the family Halloween party, Eva went to her first high school formal dance. That is Eva in her beautiful blue gown, standing next to the young man who escorted her to the event. Could they be any cuter?
Once the awkward business of attaching her beau’s boutonniere was finished, the kids could dodge the proud grownups and get on with their evening. Getting a teenager to say more than 10 words about an experience is a challenge, but the gist I got from my granddaughter was that the dance was loads of fun.
