Pumpkin Log Cabin Blocks

The inspiration for my quilt is Chelsi Stratton’s Corn Maze pattern. Her blocks are 16″ and that turned out to be larger than I wanted, so I adapted the pattern to use the Creative Grids ruler and make smaller blocks. I just want a throw-sized quilt in the end, so this will be ideal for me.

Hope your week has gotten off to a great start!

  1. OMG, those blocks are adorable! So glad to hear that the ruler is making such a difference in your accuracy as well as your satisfaction. Those will make up a beautiful quilt!

  2. I will remember this for next year! I’m about to start an involved, (year-long I’m sure) pattern using fall and Halloween colors. But I’ll pick up Chelsi’s pattern in the meantime.

  3. Those are just wonderful! I need more time to sew so I can use mine! It’s burning a hole in my pocket like a shiny new coin. ;p

  4. Your wee pumpkins are too cute and I agree with your decision to make your blocks smaller than suggested. Nice, helpful ruler, too. Imagine all the small things you can fussy cut that are the same size as your little pumpkins!

    Hugs!
