Ahren has arrived and we are in full family celebration mode. We’ve been cooking and sitting around drinking wine/beer/whatever and having the best time. This is just a quick update to say all is well and we are doing fabulously.
Last night we sat outside around the fire table while dinner cooked. You can tell from the photo above where Dennis is laughing at something Ahren said that he is very happy to have his son home. What a difference a year (and all your prayers make).
Ahren and I made stuffed mushrooms to go along with a steak we grilled. The recipe could not have been more simple, and if you like mushrooms, I highly recommend this as an appetizer, or a side dish, which is how we used them. The recipe is from All Recipes and was just perfect.
I hope you are enjoying these lead up days to the holidays as much as I am!
