2013 Finishes Part One

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope 2014 blesses you with good luck, prosperity and excellent health.  I don't have any firm resolutions to state, however my wish is that I will make more time for both sewing and reading.

As I have done in the past, I thought my first post for the New Year would be a little re-cap of what I accomplished in the outgoing year.  In 2013 my family had some challenges that cut into my sewing time, but I have to say, I actually got more finished than I thought I had.  Thank goodness for the Another Year of Schnibbles group, with smaller quilt projects that I was able to complete!   So here goes:

  1. Oh, what shade of green with envy am I? Your lovely quilts both large and small make my pitiful few finishes look sad and pale by comparison. At least I’m starting 2014 without tardy Christmas gifts lingering as was the case when 2013 started.
Shiloh and The Long Road Home are my favorites and I love Little Black Dress, but they’re all wonderful. Applause, applause!!!!
    Hugs!

  2. I’m off to a retreat & love seeing your inspirational work!!! It makes me want to get busy!! Your ‘Joy Luck’ is my favorite…but, in my opinion, anything made with Little Black Dress is bound to be gorgeous!!!

  3. Wow! Love all your quilts, didn’t realize there were so many I wanted to copy 🙂 looking to seeing what you do in 2014!

  4. Hi Nicole…I see that you finished Jellystone..you are so good!It was probably prophetic when I showed up to Carrie Nelson’s class at the Buggy Barn a day late and you and Lisa were so kind to share what you had learned in Carrie’s class the day before… as I still have not finished it! Your’s has inspired me to get on the stick and do so before the fabric is considered antique. I have enjoyed your year of quilts..and Ozzie, thanks for sharing.
