  1. Love the little table topper, I made it using Kansas Troubles fabrics. I miss Miss Rosie, good thing I collected her patterns and books. Your entrance is festive and beautiful. Thanks for sharing! Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁 🦃 🍁

    1. I bet it is beautiful in the Kansas Troubles fabrics. I made another one also, in white and blue fabrics. I vaguely recall that there were paper instructions that showed how to flip through all three of the inspiration patterns to make it.

  2. Cute quilt! There is a pattern called “Village” that is just the houses. It’s by Miss Rosie but is available free all over the ‘net, including Fat Quarter Shop. I bought it early on and made one for my sister and BIL who have a cottage on a lake. I customized some of the houses for them and their hobbies, and added lake fabrics too. I also added some trees, long before I saw others with them. It was a fun, fun pattern.

  3. Your Miss Rosie quilt is so soft & cozy looking! The background looks like snow falling on the village! I’ll be looking forward to seeing your Christmas🎄decorations, especially since we missed a lot of them last year!

    1. I was looking back at the photos of what we did last year. Dennis was in a wheel chair looking quite pathetic as he handed me decorations for the small table top tree we used. This year it is back to a full sized tree, and me up on a ladder with the ornaments for the top!

  4. What a charming and delightful little quilt and am impressed you made 3 patterns all work together! So glad you found it so it could be bound and used.
How fun is your candy jar?!
I’m glad that your DH is feeling up to decorating for Christmas! I remember his special ornaments.
Will be buying sweet potatoes for one of the dishes I make every Thanksgiving. Last year DIL was astonished I’d started with real, out of the ground sweet potatoes!

    Hugs!

    1. I do recall it was very confusing to flip back and forth between the three patterns!
I love the little candy jar. He is a gift from my cousin, and I think she got him at Home Goods. He deserves to be out!
I used to make a sweet potato casserole using real sweet potatoes. It was delicious.

  5. Hi Nicole, your table top is inspirational ! Ive wanted to make a house quilt for awhile, then Covid happened …and we were all shut in our houses 🙁 I lost my desire to make a house quilt. Your version may be enough to fill my desire!! What is the finished quilt size? Great job btw!

  6. you’ve made my front entry look very welcoming so I thank you for that! ;p Where did you find the adorable little jar? he is just delightful.

I have soooo many things stashed away that it’s always a wonderful surprise when I find something. that find is just so delightful. can’t wait to see your decorations up and the house ready for Ahren. be very very careful with Ryan’s weepy snowmen. ;p

  7. That little jar was a gift from my Argentine cousin Claudia. She found him at Home Goods I think. It is high time he gets to be out amongst the other decorations.
I am trying to enlist Dennis to help me drag out the Christmas boxes one by one. Between the two of us we should be able to manage it! Can’t wait to see my weepy snowmen again.

  8. Such a cute quilt. I used to have a cleaner that brought two additional girls with her. They did break a couple of things and at one point I decided I didn’t need them to come anymore. So now I have one girl who does a much better job cleaning and who I trust. She may end up breaking something, but then again I can break things too 😉

  9. I love your table topper quilt. The colors will work from Christmas through Valentine’s Day. Your candy jar is so cute!

  10. That little quilt and candy jar will make a great holiday decoration – I did the same as you, took all the fall decorations down just before the cleaners arrived and then decorated for Christmas. It does look so bare in between, but then it’s so fun to fill it up with all the Christmas decorations!

    1. I always love it in January when we put away all the Christmas clutter. While it is out I love it, but when those surfaces are clear again it is a relief! I keep things uncluttered until about two weeks before Valentines’ Day, and then out come a few more decorations.
