  1. Your white bean soup looks yummy! We’re cooling off enough to start eating warmer dinners. I fixed chili a couple of weeks ago. And, just yesterday I bought ingredients for ham & bean soup to fix this weekend.

  2. I make an Italian soup with cannellini beans. It’s my favorite right now. pretty quick and easy. next time you shop, buy Bush’s brand of cannellini beans. you won’t BELIEVE how much better they taste than the generic Safeway brand.

it didn’t cool off last night. we ran the air until midnight. we never do that. It’s muggy today. ugh. I’m giving River a bath today and then sewing.

Hope it’s cooler for you so you can sew.

    1. It is actually not too bad here today. Overcast and a lot cooler than yesterday. I’ve been working like a whirling dervish, changing out my closet from summer to fall. I love clearing things out and making things all organized. I hope to get up to the sewing room this afternoon. I am behind on the Cali & Co blocks. I have two to make to catch up.

  3. Watched Pat Sloan this morning and saw the shout out to Sister’s Choice Quilts. Pretty cool!! I am a long time follower although I don’t comment often. Glad you were able to migrate your blog. I love it.

  4. Thank you for the recipes. Besides quilting, I love cooking so this is a great help. Getting to the last of the garden tomatoes so I will try the pasta.
I enjoy your posts. It is a nice consistency of simple friendly news of things I enjoy and a friendly presence in my quiet life.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words Lisa. That means a lot to me to hear that you enjoy my blog.
Alas, the past couple of years our garden tomatoes haven’t done so well. My husband and I have admitted that we may be better off enjoying the tomatoes from local farmers instead!

  5. I do not have a recipe to share, but I do like to start using butternut squash this time of the year and besides soup it can be used with pasta and one recipe I experimented with was with garbanzo beans and some fresh tomatoes.

  6. I have not bought any Tilda but have admired it. Even JoAnn Fabrics had started to carry some, but I don’t think they ever had it on sale. That Christmas bundle is very cute.
We have white chicken chili which is very similar to yours. Hubby likes the chicken in it. We’ve been eating way less red meat but that means more chicken and turkey and that’s fine. I would enjoy more vegetarian meals but we like different veggies so it’s a bit harder to achieve.

  7. Thanks for the recipe links – YUM!!
These ‘ber’ months and winter are when we miss beef the most. Sigh. May all of the Lone Star ticks be eradicated!

    Hugs!

    1. Hi Nancy, you are so sweet to ask after us. We are great.
I wonder if there is an issue with your subscription to blog notifications? I have been posting just about four times a week for the past few months. I do have a new website: sisterschoicequilts.blog
