Welcome To My New Blog Site!

Ears of corn table runner

I am so excited to introduce you to my new WordPress Blog Site. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Assuming you are reading this blog on a laptop or computer (and not your phone), in my opinion, the look is much cleaner and less cluttered, which I think is pleasing to the eye. You will find the search features amazing. You can search by topic under the blog header, or search by word description in the search bar at the top right, search in the sidebar by Category, or search by date in Archives. Looking for all my past book reviews? Three options: click “Book Reviews” under the blog header, or click on the image “Book Recommendations” on the right sidebar, or click “Books” in the Categories section in the right sidebar. All those posts will be gathered for you, and you can hopefully find what you are looking for.

Another improved feature is the Commenting section. This blog has always been super interactive, and will be even more so, going forward. I can comment back to you directly in the comment section, and I believe you can comment on other people’s comments as well. We will get to know one another even better!

I won’t lie, this has been a journey to migrate 18 years of content, images, and comments to a new location. I found a talented individual who understood what needed to be done and accomplished it quickly. I am thrilled that going forward, perusing this space may be an even better experience for everyone.

Have you all had a good weekend? I seem to have spent most of it on my computer and not in the sewing room. What I have done is make lists. Do you do that when you are feeling overwhelmed with uncompleted tasks? I now have lists of things to do in the garage, in my closet, in my sewing room, and on my computer. With any luck, this week I will make a stab at completing at least a few things in all those categories!

A housekeeping note:
If you are a new subscriber, hold off until later today to sign up to get my daily posts delivered directly to your email address. The personnel at the subscription service only work Monday through Friday, so I have not yet been able to change the details to have your subscriptions moved from the old Typepad site to the new WordPress one. Anyone already subscribed to this blog will just carry over and should notice no change. New subscribers should just wait until later today or tomorrow to subscribe.

Have a great week everyone!

Another pre-made list to double-check before leaving home. Congrats on your successful move to your new blog site! 🥳
