Hail to the Red, White, and Blue

My mission lately has been to get some of my many flimsies quilted.  This one arrived just in time for the 4th of July!  This little quilt is called Dulcinea, a Schnibbles pattern by Miss Rosie's Quilt Company.  It is hot off the longarm machine of Mary Flynn of Quilt Hollow.

I am wishing you a weekend of sewing, family, good food, and good memories.  And if a pretty red, white, and blue quilt figures in to your celebration, so much the better.  As for me, I will be making potato salad, sewing some Sew Kind of Wonderful curved blocks, and enjoying my family.  Happy 4th of July everyone.

  1. BEAUTIFUL!!! I made Dulcinea out of some yellows and blues for spring. It too was pretty. I love your fabrics…could they be Minick and Simpson? Happy Fourth!! We are expecting rain and possible effects of hurricane Arthur here on the east coast.

  2. Enjoy your Independence Day. I see some binding in your future. Dulcinea is a lovely quilt. We are blessed with rain for our dry, dry prairie. The crepe myrtles will shine for the holiday.

  3. The same to you Nicole. have a wonderful weekend! You seem to be adjusting to the injury quite well. Love the red, white and blue Carrie quilt!

  4. What a perfect little patriotic quilt for the holiday!! What size is it? It looks larger than I had imagined in the photo of it hanging over your stair rail.
I have two red/white/blue little quilts hanging in our little entry hall. One is very small, a 12″ block with two borders, and the other is about 50″ square and has 4 Lewis and Clark blocks with sashing, a cornerstone, and borders. In case you didn’t know, Lewis and Clark blocks have about 60 pieces of fabric in each block. I kid you not!
Hope we get some rain from Arthur as it passes up the coast. We need rain!
Happy 4th of July to you, too!!
    Hugs!

  5. Love this quilt & as always Mary did a great job quilting it ! How perfect that it arrived before this weekend !
Wishing you a safe & Happy 4th of July !

  6. Great looking quilt for July. Happy Independence Day Celebration! Love a 3-day weekend. We’re just hoping Arthur doesn’t deliver too much rain here!
