Scrappy Trips

Just a quickie post today.  Here is Scrappy Trips all sewn together, minus borders.  I think I will do a narrow confinement border in black, followed by a wider red border in one of American Jane's prints.

Fun quilt to make, and I highly recommend it, especially if you have a couple of jelly rolls on hand you would like to use up.  It takes 2 1/2 inch strips, lots of them!

I got a notion to start a Valentine's table runner yesterday, but I have a sinking feeling it isn't going to happen in time.  Next year I will plan ahead a bit better.

Hope your week got off to a good start!

  1. I like your thoughts for a narrow black border! I’ve been very pleased when I’ve used some black in my quilts. Somehow, it adds a wonderful, quiet depth.
Honey, if anyone can make a Valentine table runner in 4 days, start to finish, it’s you. Really. On the other hand, don’t fret if it doesn’t get finished or even started. You can use that happy pink and red square table topper that you made several years ago and that I shamelessly copied. 🙂
    Hugs!

  2. I enjoyed the process of making this quilt and want to do another with more initial planning. Your colors are nicely delineated making those diamonds pop. I achieved only partial success as I was too random in sewing my strips.
Looking forward to the quilt with borders even though it looks really good now.
