Laundry Day, Quilted

This sweet little quilt is Laundry Day, a kit from Fat Quarter Shop, featuring a Kim Diehl design and fabrics. It is a mini quilt that I just got back from my quilter, Mary at Quilt Hollow.  The light wasn't quite right when I took the picture, so I don't know if you can see that the quilt design is one big custom quilt block, not an all over pattern.  I am quite pleased with how it turned out and will be using it as a table topper somewhere in my house.  It seems more "End of Summer" in the colors to me, so I may wait to put it out.

Hope you are all having a good week!  My plan is to sew like crazy on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and finish up my Jacob's Ladder blocks as well as get the borders on Past and Present.  We shall see what I am able to accomplish, but I am going to try.  I have had to work full days the beginning of the week, and that cuts into my sewing like nobody's business!

  1. Beautiful quilting on the quilt. That work stuff just gets in the way doesn’t it? If I didn’t have to work, I could be so much more productive!

  2. Love the fabrics, the pattern, and the wonderful quilting design Mary stitched! Enlarging the quilt photo makes that quilting so easy to see, too.
A work schedule and responsibilities do severely cut into sewing time. Bother!
Wishing you well on your sewing plans for the rest of the week!
    Hugs!

  3. Good luck on your plans for the rest of the week … I can’t wait to see pictures of all you get done. The biggest upside to being retired is that work no longer gets in the way of my quilting time. 😉

  4. I love the colors…reminds me of jelly beans (even licorice ones) which are my favorite. How do you ever find the time to make so many beautiful quilts. You seem to have a very hectic schedule.
