Time for Some Fall Decor

I thought it was high time I got out my fall decorations.  I spent a couple of hours this week going through my things and putting out some favorites.  I think I typically over do it, and this year is no exception.  I just can't seem to edit myself.  That is my mantle, above.  I have done it the same way for a few years now and am still not tired of it.

On the coffee table, I just have a wooden dish with pumpkins, acorns and leaves.  A sneaky squirrel is getting into the acorns.

Some twinkly lights on a side table.  I got those hollow glass pumpkins at Pottery Barn last year, and I noticed they have them again this year.

I love these flameless candles.  They look very realistic, and you can program them to come on at the same time every day.  They cost a fortune, but you can use them for years, so in the long run it probably is cheaper than real pillar candles.

I have had this little collection of wooden Halloween decorations for decades.  I put them on a hall table outside Eva's bedroom, as I know she loves them.

I kept the dining room pretty simple, but I have to say that is one of my favorite fall quilts on the table.

My husband doesn't usually get involved with decorating, except at Christmas, but last year he came home with this funny lantern.  It lights up and has a purple lava lamp style display.  Predictably, Eva loved it and it has become one of her favorite decorations.  I put it on my little Tidbit table topper (a Miss Rosie Little Bites pattern), which has a touch of purple in it.

If you are wondering what the fuzzy white things in the background are, here is a close up:

Eva's new unicorn slippers, which we brought back for her from Ireland.  Which every seven year old girl needs, right?

Hope you enjoyed the little home decor tour.  Have you got yours out yet?

My Halloween thhings are few, besides two wall quilts and a fabric jack 0lantern my mothher made and they go up mid-month.
    Hugs!

  2. I’ll bet Eva loves helping you arrange your festive decorations! The lantern is a great addition & I love those Pottery Barn pumpkins! What little girl wouldn’t love to have those unicorn slippers?!

  3. Love your decorations! I have the same little wooden ghosts. 🙂 Fall is my favorite season and I probably decorate just as much for this season as I do Christmas. I made a few new Halloween quilts this year to use. Most of mine are just fall so I can use through Thanksgiving. Will be fun to put out some new quilts.

  4. Love your decorations and was thinking we must like the same stuff 😂. I’ve got some wooden ghost decorations I can’t seem to let go of that were so popular years ago but I still love them and bring them out. Love the unicorn slippers too! Unicorns are mermaids are so hot right now 😂
