Spice It Up

Can you believe how gorgeous this fabric collection is?  It is Spice It Up by Jo Morton, designed for Moda.  The colors are my favorite warm autumn tones, and I can think of so many projects that this fabric would be perfect for.  If you are a collector of Jo's fabrics, you know that her new collections always "play" beautifully with her past ones.  You can achieve an amazing scrappy look by combining Jo fabrics from your stash.

Check out your local quilt shop, they may have it in stock.  If not, there are loads of places you can order it from on line.

Hope you all had a good weekend.  Mine was great, spent with family.  I am not seeing so much of my husband now that he has been persuaded to come out of retirement to work in the city.  We made the most of our Saturday and of our Sunday morning.  We even went out for lunch and had a cocktail.

A Zombie.  Yes, it was blue.  And had a brain floating in it.  But you know what?  It was actually pretty good.  Really.

  1. IT sounds like you had a nice weekend and you are adjusting. The fabric is tempting for sure. I have a lot of Jo fabric. I will try to resist!

  2. Oh, I love all things Jo Morton, AND I have a gift certificate to a local quilt store! Serendipity? Glad you had a good weekend, I did as well. Spent Saturday with my daughter and granddaughter, then saw them again at church yesterday morning, spent a couple of hours sitting with them at Starbucks, then spent the afternoon catching Pokemon with my son and his wife. Such fun, especially since my husband is away for 2.5 weeks!

  3. I know you’ll create something beautiful with that selection of fabrics, you always do. Now, about that brain in the blue zombie cocktail…

  4. I’ll bet you’re already browsing your patterns for the perfect way to use those new Fall fabrics! It sounds like you had a nice, low-key weekend. The Zombie is interesting…

  5. What delicious autumn fabrics!!
So happy that you and the family had such a nice weekend together. Sweet! The brain in the Zombie might had put me off a bit though.
    Hugs!
