Short Line

This is just a quick post on a quilt I have been enjoying lately.  It is called Short Line, and is a pattern by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co.  It was made with fabrics from various American Jane (Sandy Klop) collections, designed for Moda.

It is a gorgeous quilt and although I have had it for nearly ten years I have never gotten tired of it.  This one is a real winner.  It was made from 1 1/2" strips of fabric-making it a great choice for honey buns.

You can also make it with larger strips (jelly rolls).  This version was made from 2 1/2" strips of French General fabrics, and made quite a large quilt.  If you can get your hands on the pattern, it is a great quilt to make in either version.

  1. I don’t remember ever seeing this quilt before. How joyful it is in both colorways!
    Hugs!

  2. That’s a new one for me as well. I love the French General version and the other one as well. THank you for sharing an oldie but goodie!

  3. I have the pattern and I have Sandy Klop fabric (along with TONS of other fabrics)! Thanks for the idea! Sometimes I just need a little inspiration – like lately…🤣

  4. Hi! It’s Carol Radcliffe, your happy jewelry tote maker. I have a question about this pattern? Are the strips 5” then cut in half? Or half of that? I have a ton of American Jane squares that I have been wanting to do something with, but never found the right pattern. Until now!
Also, when I moved here from CT I apparently lost a lot more than just boxes during Storm Irene. I went to pull out “Sentiments” by 3 sisters and noticed I didn’t have the border I purchased. The “HOLLY” fabric. So if you can please put a shout out that if anyone has holly #4082-13 I would greatly appreciate it! I had 1 3/4 the length of the fabric but it’s a 61/2” border around 55×64. It is old so I doubt it but you never know.
I start projects then put them away for another time. I might not do that anymore. I wish you well. You look good with your granddaughter. Stay cool!
    Respectfully,
    Carol
P.S. I had to have my left leg amputated due to osteomyelitis. But it just makes me see more!
