I am working sporadically on a couple of different projects. Honestly, I have it on my calendar to sew at least one hour a day, but it just has not been happening. I seem to always be going for a walk with my friend, reading a book or taking Eva to swim practice. Despite my lagging attention, I am making some progress on my two projects.
I went gangbusters on these little units over the weekend, but still need to press about 300 of them.
On another subject entirely, I was out watering my herb garden yesterday and noticed something very weird growing around my herb plants.
Some sort of fungus is growing around the base of my sage, oregano and thyme! Ick. Have you ever seen such a thing? I want to dig it all up and throw it away. I am thinking it is something that was in the potting soil, do you think? The soil is in a raised wooden box, and was used last year (not changed out this year). No fungus last year. If you know anything about this sort of issue, please do share!

I cannot tell you anything about the fungus but there is a similar white fungus around my geraniums which are also in a wooden planter. It’s been so wet here in the St. Louis area that I wasn’t surprised to see it. Fungus spores can become airborne but my first thought the same as yours, it was in the soil.
It is a pretty little mushroom looking fungus but I am with you, and I would be scared to use my herbs.

I have a book about fungus so will see what I can find out. As has been said, don’t eat it until you know all about it – of course!

NO idea about the fungus but you are doing better at the sewing machine than I am. Can’t wait to see what you are doing!
