  1. I missed you yesterday! Glad you are feeling better. I love that churndash block. That challenge has some beautiful blocks.

  2. I love the churn dash with all the word fabrics for the pieces. Some day I will do the Riley Blake challenge. The blocks are so different from the usual QALs!

    1. The blocks are more challenging than most sew alongs and I think more interesting as well. Another benefit is that they have done this program since 2021 I believe, and all those patterns are still available on their website and could be interchanged with the current sew along. All the block sizes are 10″ finished.

  3. I follow the RBDblockchallenge on Facebook, so I see all the posted finished blocks. Really enjoy it. However, I see a lot of very muddy blocks – poor placement of color values. Not all, but many (maybe even most).

You get the prize for best placement of color values. Your blocks are excellent. Looks really great.

  4. You had me at Churn Dash! I love your block & it really shows off those script prints. Feeling sick probably didn’t add to the Valentine’s Day dinner vibe at all. Give Dennis credit for a thoughtful plan though!

  5. What a bother to be laid low – especially when dinner out is in the plans. Hope your sweetie doesn’t catch it.
Love the blocks you’ve finished so far, and the script fabric in the Churn Dash block is perfect!
    Wishing you WELL!

    Hugs!

  6. Glad you are on the mend. Sleep is the best thing and it is hard to listen to the body when the brain feels like we must do something instead of resting. Made 3 plaid tester pinwheel blocks, one 5″ finish, one 6″ finish and the final one is 12″ finish, pinwheel is centre and there are star points around it. Since then we bought our kit for our archery – I seem to have a thing about things with sharp pointy bits on the end! LOL!
