I am definitely on a roll with sending quilts out to be quilted. This one is an old Miss Rosie pattern called Viola. I revisited my notes on it, and see that I made it slightly smaller than the pattern directed. I kind of wish I had made it the full size, but I guess I was just feeling "done" with it. It is colorful and fun and deserves to be quilted and used.
My notes also tell me I used scraps of 58 different fabrics in this quilt! I started it shortly after my sister passed away in 2015 and wanted something cheerful to distract me.

Speaking of cheerful, good heavens. This puts a smile on my face when I look at it. I called this quilt Valentine Houses. I made it with some line of seasonal Valentine-inspired fabric years ago. I think the pattern is Tiny Town by Miss Rosie. I can't find it online, and think it may have been a free pattern that was offered years ago. It is table topper size, and I can just see it on my kitchen island with a red candle and a vase of red roses in February.
I hope your week is going well and that you are inspired to dig out some of the quilt tops you made years ago and finally get them sent off to be quilted!

Both are winners! I miss Carrie Nelson designing; she was so clever.
You are on a roll! These quilts are going to be such wonderful additions to your decor. I have quilt a collection of Miss Rosie’s patterns and books and enough fabric stash to make them all! I have the pattern for the little house pattern, maybe my next start. Thanks for sharing! 🇺🇸
I have never seen either of those patterns before but I love your colors! They are so cheerful !! Doris
Way to go! It is so gratifying to get a quilt off to the quilter! For the last several years, a quilt goes off to the quilter as soon as it is done…and now I am busy finishing WIPs so they get off too. Thanks for the inspiration!
Both are just wonderful! The “Viola” really steals my heart, and I had to get to pattern so I can try it with all my 30s prints.
Thank you for sharing your fabulous work!
I love Viola! I have seen other similar quilts out there but this one is slightly different and I like it. You are sounding excited again- good for you!
If Viola has not yet been mailed, you could add a white outside border to get it to a larger size. I love white borders so the quilting shows. Lovely quilts.
‘Viola’ is so cheerful! The little Valentine houses will look festive on your counter in dreary February! Good for you finishing them up!
I love seeing what you are working on! I don’t remember seeing “Viola” but maybe I missed it when you blogged about it the first time.
Doesn’t it feel good to finish projects that have been around for some time…many years??!!
I love that Viola! It reminds me of Carolina Lilies pattern. 58 different fabrics? That is what quilting is about. use it up!
Such pretty finishes! Love Violas bright colors, too bad you didn’t have scraps to make it bigger. It will look great with your decor.
