We had a little graduation party for Eva last night, and I gave her the calendar quilt I made for her. It is hard to put one over on her, and of course, she had noticed that I was working on it. She didn't seem to know it was for her, though, and seemed surprised to get it.

I think she liked it, judging by the smile on her face.

We had a nice family gathering, with her dad, Ryan, her stepmom, Stephanie, her stepsister, Sydney, and her other grandma, Nana Sue. We kept it simple, serving cheese and crackers, pizza, watermelon salad, and ice cream bars for dessert.

As for me, for some reason I feel absolutely done in! I am ready for a shower and a good book before I go to bed. I need to rest up because this will be a busy week. We will have a houseguest, Miriam, Ryan's mother is coming up for the graduation ceremony on Tuesday and will stay with us for a few days. We have loads of things planned. I know things will calm down eventually!

Hope you all had a good weekend.

  2. I’m so glad the festivities turned out so well. Ava looks quite pleased! It is no wonder you are tired. With more to come, I hope you can rest and recharge even a little bit! I love how your extended and blended family all supports each other regardless. It speaks volumes.
