Dennis typically would pack our car when we left for a vacation. This time Ahren and I took on the job and I have to say, I think we did ok! Everything was organized and fit just right in the back of the Subaru.
Ahren drove us up to the Lake and our condominium was just as we remembered: deluxe, spacious, and very comfortable. We settled in with more than enough room and were soon having wine and lively conversations in the living room.
Ahren and I made fresh homemade linguine pasta in the morning before we left, with the idea that we would make linguine and clams for our dinner the first night.
The pasta was magnificent and Ahren did a fabulous job on the sauce.
The three of us gathered around the table and had a magnificent meal.
I hope your week got off to a great start! I am looking forward to a mix of relaxation, adventure, and reading time.

Have a lovely visit with your son. Considering all you and Dennis have been through, I’m sure you all need the break, the scenery, the respite of the demands of home. Enjoy your time! I enjoy the foodie pictures and of course anything with that terrier!!
