Are you looking for an easy pattern for a colorful quilt? I love Cozy Cabin by Modernly Morgan.
I think a bright colorful mix of prints would be amazing for this quilt. Such as the limited edition Lori Holt bundle I recently ordered from Fat Quarter Shop.
However, if you go to Instagram and put in #cozycabinquilt, you will get some fabulous ideas for doing the quilt in a scrappy one-color version, a scrappy autumn colorway, or how about a feed sack version? There is also a black, cream, grey and taupe version that is amazing. Go check out the Instagram link and be inspired.
Morgan is a quilt pattern designer I recently discovered. I think her patterns would be great for a beginning quilter and also for an experienced quilter who loves to play with color and who wants to make a fast fun quilt. Her website is Modernly Morgan.
My posts may be on the short side for the next couple of weeks. Our son Ahren is coming for a visit all the way from Dublin, Ireland! We have a couple of short excursions planned, a family wedding, and lots of cooking. My content may not be heavy on the quilting side, but I promise I will keep you all posted on our activities.

I went to Morgan’s site and wow! I will be interested to see how the construction is done on this quilt. But I can wait until after Ahren is gone. Enjoy his visit!

I made a quilt called Aglow that was a Modernly Morgan pattern, I love it. I need to go check out her patterns, she was off my radar, thanks for putting her back on it. Enjoy your time with Ahren, what a treat. He makes your house a happy one.

Beautiful! You know, I have NEVER bought Lori Holt fabric, but i think its beautiful! Maybe one day! It just so happens that I am also working on a Modernly Morgan pattern…Starlets and its gorgeous! Enjoy your time with Ahren and away from your machine!
I followed your link to check out the Cozy Cabins quilts and be darned if the fabric I’m using for Starlets wasn’t also shown in CC. Too funny! I might have to go buy more of the fabric lol!!
