March may be going out like a lion here, but I was able to finally find daffodils at my local grocery store. I've been checking every week this month and they had them at last. Now it feels like Spring!
This is the big week! My new carpeting is going to be installed on Wednesday and Thursday. Things are all out of place and there is barely room to move around with all the rooms cleared out as best I could manage. It's going to get worse once they start taking all the bedroom furniture out. Goodness knows where they will put it. Out on the porch I guess?

I haven't been able to get into the sewing room to really tear things up with a project, so I thought this was a good opportunity to get some bindings attached to a couple of quilts. I can work on hand stitching them down during the day when the carpet people are here. I will stay out of the way in the living room and hope there will be room for me amidst all the hubbub I imagine will be going on around me.
This Christmas quilt was made from Lella Boutique fabrics, Christmas Morning I think the collection was called. It is from an It's So Emma pattern booklet called Amongst the Stars Again.

I cannot wait to get this quilt on my bed! It is the Fat Quarter Shop Designer Mystery quilt from 2022, in Camille Roskelley's Nantucket fabric line. This quilt is so summery and peaceful. It will be stunning in my bedroom. The setting for this quilt is just so pretty.
I promise to show full photos of those two quilts as I make a bit more progress with the bindings!
Sara and I have a new podcast up with some of the books we read in March, so do check us out. Click the link "Reeding Between the Lines" to the right, or go to see us on YouTube.
Hope you all had a great weekend.

May I recommend you have your vacuum handy after the carpet layers are done. I found it was needed to pick up stray yarn bits before all furniture was back in place.
It will be wonderful to have the carpet project finished, the end is in sight! I’ve been working on getting binding attached to several projects. It’s a good feeling to have that task completed and have things ready for hand stitching. I’ve got couple of projects that I want to try machine stitching the binding down. They will be good to practice on.
Your daffodils make a pretty Spring picture on the green table topper. This will be a good week to stay busy with binding amidst the carpet installation hustle & bustle! It will be over in no time…keep us posted!
Exciting week! I had my entire upstairs done before we moved out– all they did was just move the furniture to one side, start attaching the carpet at one end and then the just hopped the furniture over onto the finished side and continued along. So hopefully not too much more moving! Then your newly organized stuff you’ll be able to move back quickly. Still getting snow here– lion it is! xox
Would you share information about your acrylic insert for you Bernina machine in the photo shown? My husband made a wooden cabinet for my Bernina machine and I would like to have an acrylic insert.
There you are! For sometime now I was getting
Emails with your posts. Imagine my surprise- and delight- when I opened up my blog app and had missed several of your posts. Did something change on your end or mine?
It will be so nice to have the carpet project done! Meanwhile you’ve done a nice spring cleaning and everything will be fresh and new. Yay for new beginnings!
I always enjoy your book reviews. Didn’t know you were on YouTube. You look so pretty!
My miniature daffodils and the Siberian Squills are both in full bloom (in my yard). Regular daffodils are up and I see buds, but no blooms yet. Jonquils are up, but will be a while yet before they are blooming. Ditto with the Irises, they are just popping up, but will be quite a while. Lily of the Valley will be quite a while too. I get very excited when bulb and pip season starts.
I agree, they will likely slide most furniture around installation depending on room size. You are very smart getting closets done at the same time. But so much work, new meaning to “spring cleaning”.
