Calendar Log Cabin Blocks

I've been a bit under the weather this past weekend so not much sewing happened. I did make up for my lack of activity yesterday, however, and finished two more of my monthly blocks for my Calendar Log Cabin quilt. The January block, as you can see, is a cute little mitten.

April is an Easter Basket. I think my head was muddled with cold meds because I must have put that little basket block together three times before I got it right.

So there we are, the first four months of the year all done! Next up will be May flowers, and if I can manage it, Flip Flops for June!

I am still trimming my half square triangles for the Brio/Frivols project and hope to get those done by the end of the week.

In other news, I saw my eye doctor last Friday and he was very pleased with my progress with the eye injections he has been giving me for my macular degeneration. I had noticed a significant improvement over the past month myself, and was so happy that he verified that things were dramatically better. I had no expectation that my eyesight would actually improve to the level I am now experiencing, so of course I am thrilled and grateful.

Hope your week got off to a good start!
