Round of Infusions Over

Dennis had his round of infusions. Will repeat in March. He did great. As a matter of fact, he did not use his wheelchair the entire four days! He seems to have moved on to the walker.

We drank lots of Starbucks, and oh my, the snacks at the infusion center were first rate. I was the only person there who felt well enough to enjoy them, but there were cupcakes, Snickers bars, Noah's bagels and more. They had a fancy Keurig machine and all the coffee and hot chocolate pods. I felt guilty, but somebody had to enjoy it, right?

I have nothing at all on my calendar for the next two weeks and I plan to read and sew and try on some of the new spring clothes I have purchased. Oh yes, I am looking ahead to spring.

  1. Very glad things went well.
Got caught up on podcast. Enjoyed the author immersion one especially.
Currently listening to Paulette Jiles. Did the most recent three first, same reader/era/area. Most excellent. Then going back to catch her previous four.
Signed up to attend local Guild’s retreat in March. Got a handicap room. Going for three of the four days. It is being held within two hours of me, a couple good quilt shops that I have wanted to re-visit. We’ll see how it goes.

  2. I am glad Dennis did well and pray that you both see improvement daily. I hope you enjoy your two weeks sewing and reading you deserve it. Please show us the new spring clothes you bought; I love to buy clothing too! I also have too many and should purge some of them. We just came back from St Thomas and while I was there, I read 7 books and thought of you.

  3. What wonderful news to hear that the infusions went well! 🎉 May they be a huge help. And congratulations on his not having to use the wheelchair and onto the walker – woo hoo!! 👏 Such wonderful steps forward. I have had an infusion myself and was blown away by the treats available! So take advantage as they want bother patient and family member(s) to feel welcome and comfortable. And so many patients can’t partake or enjoy. The people who stay those infusion centers are AMAZING!
Looking forward to seeing your spring wardrobe!
Press on as you’re doing an amazing job caring for Dennis!🥰

  4. Good news for you both! We have 4″ new snow and more coming on Saturday. It’s pretty and white with Sun, but I’m done with it all.

  5. Your post sounds upbeat & positive! Progressing from the wheelchair to the walker is huge! Enjoy your empty calendar. I hope you’ll fill each day with things you enjoy & you deserve & more! 📚👗🧵

  7. Great news! With all you both have been through, I’m glad you are looking forward and on to spring. 5″ snow here. But we need the precip in any form!

  8. What great news!! So happy for Dennis and you that you get a bit of “Sunshine”! I have great faith that the infusions will help speed his recovery! Have a great time sewing and reading!

  9. That’s wonderful news! Glad he is doing much better! I always feel that way about good snacks too, it’s like no one wants to eat unhealthy sweet things and I’m like give it to me 🤣 it will be nice having two weeks to just relax and work on your stuff! Can’t wait to see what you make!
