Happy Halloween everyone!
I wanted to share this table topper that I got back from the quilter. How appropriate to share today. With all that's going on in my life at the moment, I didn't get it bound in time for Halloween, but I will enjoy it next year. Right now it is draped on the back of a dining room chair adding a bit of Halloween cheer to the house.
Of course I am not actually in my house at the moment. I am still with my husband as he recovers from his spinal cord injury in the hospital.
The little quilt is a Halloween mystery quilt called Bats and Boos that the Fatquarter Shop sponsored this summer. It is a free pattern on their website, plus there are step by step tutorials on YouTube.
It was fun to make and I love the versatility of the square shape. It finishes at 40.5 x 40.5.
My family did have their annual Halloween party, at my brother-in-law's house. I wasn't able to make it, due to my current circumstances, but my sisters sent pictures and it looks like the event was a great success. I'll share a couple of photos.

Brother-in-law Rick as a Jack in the Box.

Brother-in-law Robert as Forest Gump and sister Kate as a box of chocolates.
I cannot keep up with the level of creativity!

Love Bats n Boos– I think that’s my favorite ever FREE FQS stitch-a-long! You and your husband will be very much on my mind today. Sending hugs, hope, and strength. xox

I’ve been thinking about you both & Archie, too. It’s nice to see that your family is continuing the Halloween festivities! Cute table topper! Take care of yourself, please. 🥰
Hello Nicole. I am just catching up on your recent posts. I am so sorry to hear that things are not going as hoped with your husband. I hope and pray that you get some answers as to what’s going on, and that there is a plan and path forward to a recovery that includes good mobility, good health and no pain. Sending healing thoughts and prayers.
As for your quilts, they are all terrific. I especially love the baskets! It might have been tedious to make, but the end result is gorgeous!
Sending all good wishes for solutions and results to you and your husband.
Your quilted quilts are looking lovely. Love Bats and Boos, also Susan Ache. I have several f Susan’s books and several of her quilts I want to make. Sorry your husband’s medical situation wasn’t a solve on the first go round. Sometimes it just takes longer. Glad you got some photos of the Halloween bash, it looks like such fun. Hang in there Nicole, at least the roofers and painters are done and that’s settled.
omg. how long did it take for him to make the Jack-in-the-box costume? I do not have that kind of focus but it is outstanding. Kate looks a lot like you. ;p
