Haunted Halloween, a Finish!

Wooooooooo, it's a great feeling to get this spooky little wall hanging done! The project was sponsored by Fat Quarter Company, and the block patterns are completely free. It was an easy and fun project to work on. I hope I can get it out to be quilted (and back!) in time to use it this Halloween. I usually don't do wall hangings, but I think I will make an exception with this one. Click on the links for the fabric requirements and the first free block pattern.

Some significant sewing has been happening, and I look forward to sharing more with you on Wednesday.

Do you have plans for the 4th of July? We are in the midst of a dreadful heat wave, so nobody wants to be outside. (Which is why I have been sewing). So, no barbecues are on the horizon. My husband and I will just stay home and read our books.

  1. I love your haunted Halloween 🎃! Too cute 🥰 yes, we g he ave the heat and humidity in north east Texas too. I hate summer!

  2. I love it! You did a great job. So cute and you’re ahead of schedule to have it ready for Halloween 🎃. Humid in NE Ohio – I’m ready for fall 🍁 Happy 4th of July

  3. Cute finish! I have my kit and you’re inspiring me to get it done! I am in northern Maine— it has rained here, day after day after day for the entire month of June and now into July. I’d trade for any type of sun!

  4. Very cute wall hanging, and I like your cat tail much better than the original. We are still getting our June gloom here so I am not sure we will have a clear night for fireworks. Happy Fourth of July.

  5. Good for you finishing that project! It’s really cute! If you don’t want to hang it on a wall it might also make a fun topper put it on a table diagonally. We’re stuck in a rain cycle which has kept our temperatures down so far this summer, too. Have a great 4th! 🇺🇸🎊

  6. so hot here…hate it. impossible to get the dog sufficiently exercised so he is being very annoying. ugh.

  7. So cute!! And you got your sewing mo-jo back! It is hot here too in Iowa-I’m working on getting my mo-jo back and getting to my machine yet today. To hot to be outside!

  8. Glad your Sew-Jo came back up to an acceptable level for you to complete this cutie. We are not too hot here in SoCal yet, but it’s coming! I’ll send some of the low clouds and fog your way…
