9th and Vine

This is my other new project:  131 9th and Vine.  It makes up into a very large quilt, without a lot of effort.  No fussy blocks, no small pieces.  All the 9 patch blocks can be strip pieced, and I am clipping along rapidly using my Bloc Loc strip ruler.

This will be such a summery quilt for my bedroom.  I cannot wait to get this one finished and quilted and on the bed.  I am going to try for this summer—we will see!

I know. Can you believe I am undertaking another nine patch project after that behemoth Double Nine Patch quilt top I just finished?  These are going very quickly however.  I have over half of the large blocks made already.  This will be done in no time.

This is what the quilt will look like when I finish it.  This is Corey Yoder's quilt, made for the pattern distribution.  Can't wait to start enjoying my own.

Have to admit I am having trouble getting into the sewing room this week.  The weather has been so great that I just want to sit outside and read.  I am also trying to get ready for a visit from my son Ahren, who lives in Ireland and is coming for a 9 day visit this weekend.  Today my housecleaners were supposed to come at 10.  At 11:30 there was still no sign of them.  We have a slight communication issue, due to us speaking different languages, and there have been several mix ups in dates in the past.  After texting him, and much ensuing confusion, they arrived at 1:00 and didn't leave until after 3:00.  So there went today.  Can't foresee what the next week or two will bring as far as sewing, but I will keep you posted!
