Happy Thanksgiving

My table is all set.  I may be getting a bit ahead of myself, I but planning the tablescape is one of the things I enjoy most about holiday meals.  Oh, I have been doing a bit of cooking as well.  I have rolls made, cranberry sauce done, and cornbread baked and drying out for stuffing.  Today is my day to make a pie and tidy the house.

Someone pointed out that since my table is all set, there is no place for the family to eat from now until Thanksgiving.  Eat?  Eat meals?  I am expected to cook more meals this week besides Thanksgiving dinner?  Hmmm.  I guess I didn't think of that.  Oh well, that is what they invented Chinese Take Out and frozen pizza, right?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  See you on the other side.

    Happy Thanksgiving to all!
    Hugs!

  2. I thought I was doing good to put out my Fall/Thanksgiving ceramics and quilts for that cozy warm feeling. I’ve put away the cooking skills since I’m a household of one these days. But I can always bring a dish, or have coffee and dessert for a crowd at home. I’m thinking of baking a carrot cake, pick up some pies and I can entertain on and off through the weekend. It’s different but it still gets the good dishes out and warm friendships in the air. I see all my grands but they don’t have to sit still for too long. A new addition I’m looking forward to is Pumpkin Spice liquer, so yummy I’ll have to ration mine.Happy Thanksgiving Nicole, your blog is still the bestest!

  3. “See you on the other side”. That’s so funny & so right!! Have a wonderful day on Thanksgiving with your family!
