I am keeping up with the Primitive Gatherings Christmas Blocks that Lisa Bongean is releasing periodically on her blog.  My red and green version is coming along pretty well.  I even got a comment on Instagram from Lisa herself, saying how much she liked the two colors I was using for my version!

Yesterday was my day off, and I had a list of tasks I was working my way through.  Two backings were prepared, then I packed up and mailed to my quilter the last two quilts to be quilted for my family Christmas gifts.  I filled out my 2016 election ballot and mailed that in.  Whew, talk about being between a rock and a hard place…Then I made the four blocks you see in the photo above.  What I did not do was put the borders on two quilts that are waiting, nor did I sew any bindings.

I love my Thursdays off.  I usually accomplish quite a bit, and get in some relaxing time as well.  I have to say, it is so nice to have the house to myself for a few hours!

As I write this, I am about to go pick up some Chinese take out and go have dinner with my daughter.  Hope you all are having a great week.
