Just Fooling Around

It seems that I will do anything to put off finishing the borders on my Halloween Bounce quilt.  I had a rummage through one of my stash bins out in the garage, the one labeled "Seasonal".  I discovered a treasure trove of scraps from past Halloween projects.  I started messing around, and before you know it, most of the day was gone, and this is what I had to show for it:

Fifteen simple little rectangle shaped blocks.  The black and orange fabrics at the bottom of the photo are just fabrics I am auditioning for the borders.  This will make a super cute little table topper, around 21 inches square I think.  It will be gifted to someone, but I haven't decided who at this point.

The fabrics in the bin were adorable.  I even had a couple of 1930s inspired Hallween prints (first row right hand block).  I do not think there is anything on the planet as cute as 1930s Halloween prints.  Seriously.

I sure do know how to procrastinate doing what actually is on my To Do list.

  1. Seriously cute Nichole. Quilting friends will be at my house today for stitching time and easy lunch. I’m betting someone brings cute Halloween projects.

  2. The Bounce border will still be there when you get back to it! I love the fabrics in the Halloween table topper! It’s hard to choose a favorite!
