Dresden Plates–Six Done

Before I went on vacation, I had finished six Dresden Plate blocks.  Well, three are completely done, and three just need the center circle appliqued on.  I prepped three more blocks to stitch on while traveling, but so far haven't opened up my sewing bag.  Who knows maybe today I will work on them before the trip is completely over with!  The hand sewing really goes pretty fast, and is relaxing and kind of meditative.

  1. Applause!! What a beautiful quilt this will be.
Can you stitch during Miss E’s nap time or are you all ready for naps?!
You’ve certainly been missed, but am glad to know it’s all for fun.
    Hugs!

  2. Welcome back from the happiest place on earth Nicole. I used to live not far from Disney, CA. The first time I experienced it with my oldest son was like seeing it as a kid myself again. Great fun. Love your dresdens. I am going to cut some myself, going to cut some myself, going to cut some, someday soon I hope. Yours look like Spring from chock-a-block freezing N. TX. This Winter I miss living in CA and seeing ocean. Ah-h-h!!

  3. good for you I have 30 of my dresdan hearts done. I did all by hand, English paper piecing, wonder if should put together (blocks) by hand or bite bullet and do by machine…of course I have been debating what to do for maybe 3 years now! Procrastination! I love your plates…color combo is always spot on!
