Mary’s Quilt, That Started It All

This is Mary's quilt, the quilt that started it all.  Can you believe that Mary saw my blog post yesterday and sent me the link to the photo of her using her sunflower quilt on her dining table for a harvest party?  Go check out her link and be inspired, as I was!  Mary has a blog called Neat and Tidy and you can see the post that inspired the sunflower sew along.

First I saw Mary's  beautiful quilt, and she kindly shared the source of the pattern with me.  Then I saw the original quilt at Buggy Barn when I was there with my friends, and knew it was meant to be that I make one as well.  My friends and I have shared the camraderie of seeing the quilt together and swapping fabrics to make our own versions.

Thank you Mary!  Gosh I love the community of bloggers!

  1. Oh, the quilt is as delicious as the food will be! Love the colors and the scrappy flower centers.
What fun Mary’s blog is, too. Thank you for the link!
    Hugs!

  2. Mary is my cousin and I was at this party she held! She does beautiful work and we have shared fabrics, patterns and lots of laughs together. There is a reason her blog is called Neat and Tidy – her work is perfectly pieced and pressed! Thanks for highlighting her blog. She encouraged me to write a blog but I have not kept it up like she has. Thank you for your inspiration and the projects you share with us.
