Gentle Arts

Gentle Arts is a Schnibbles pattern by Miss Rosie's Quilt Company, and is this month's selected project in the Another Year of Schnibbles program, hosted by Sinta and Sherri.  Mine was made with two charm packs put out by Primitive Gatherings, a set of reds and a set they call "shirtings".   These old fashioned looking fabrics go so well with the classic/antique style of the Spools block pattern.

Looking forward to seeing what Sherri and Sinta have planned for the next month's Vintage Schnibble.

  1. Beautiful little quilt….love those shirting fabrics. I have a bunch I haven’t used yet, waiting for the perfect project. Looks lovely on your table. Thanks for the inspiration.

  2. What a cheery and charming little quilt!!
Isn’t it fun to create a variety of table toppers to swap out as you choose or when the seasons change? I love changing the small quilts that hang in our little entry hall as well as on other bits of wall space and they are about the same size as Gentle Arts.
    Hugs!

  3. I love it – and you know they’re spools to me! You’re so right – your fabric choice is perfect for the pattern. It’s beautiful.
Now go have a nice weekend! (And a nice glass of wine.) 🙂

  4. Turned out great Nicole! I was too busy with my other project to do the AYOS this month, … but no excuses for June. Like you – I can’t wait to see what the next pattern will be. Have a great weekend!
