I can't even tell you how fast this went together!  I started it around 9:30 and it was to this point by noon!  Whew.  Aren't those black and white prints adorable?

The next step is the applique flower that goes right where the "ribbons" come together.  I may not get to that for a couple of days due to my work schedule.  Darn, I am so keen to get this "All Wrapped Up" .  lol, that is the name of the pattern!

I know, I know, this is what I should be working on.

My Eventide small hour glass blocks.

Honestly, what do I need with another bed sized quilt?  I have a baby on the way who needs stuff!  Can you tell I am distracted?  Silly me.  Just can't seem to help it.

  1. That is VERY CUTE! I love it when patterns can be “adjusted” to black and white ones. It makes them even more versatile…and…I just love black & white.

  2. This looks like a perfect make for baby gift quilt!! I’d be distracted myself.
I think it’s very normal for we quilters, to tuck in an extra project while we work on another…isn’t it?

  3. I’m giggling as I read your post! Yep it is VERY cute and yep who needs “stuff” when there is a grandbaby on the way! We have another one coming in about 8 weeks and one in Sept…All I want to do is make baby quilts, burp pads, outfits…etc. My list is WAY too long! Have fun Nicole!!!! 🙂

  4. It’s so cute and adorable for a baby girl, who will love bright colors. I had 4 quilts done before our granddaughter (first grandchild)was born and was told to slow done on the quilts, because remember – you’ll be expected to make that many items for all the others that are born as well!

  5. How do you keep your strips so straight!?! You are so good. It’s going to be absolutely adorable. You will have to make at least one baby quilt that you don’t post about as a surprise. Have you been to Strawberry Patches in Bakersfield? They specialize in baby fabrics and patterns. They are on my links.

  6. Haven’t seen this one yet, I can’t wait to see the applique. I feel the same way, I think it’s Spring Fever!!

  7. Happy St Patricks Day. That quilt is adorable. This baby is going to just have a new quilt for every day. I am getting ready to also have my first grandchild and the mother hates quilts. Every quilt that I have given to them so far is stored in the basement in a plastic tub. So what is one to do when all they do is quilt. LOL

  8. I think your Eventide is great without the hourglass blocks! Soooo…you could call it done and move on to more girly baby stuff since that is what is on your mind!

  9. Nicole,
The quilt is adorable! That baby girl is going to “need” lots of things!! I am sure you will be happy to make lots of pretties!.
    Hugs,
    Donna
